Day 2 of Kids Clothes Week has come to a close and I am happy with the results. Today I sewed up the Explorer Skirt by Hey There Threads.
When models are paid in candy and hugs they don’t always cooperate, but you learn to work with what you have 🙂 Sophie was only willing to put the skirt on if she could wear her pajama’s as well I was happy to oblige.
I got a bit of a jump start on the skirt last night since I knew I would be gone for most of the day today. It is a really easy sew and a great stash buster for the pockets since there isn’t much accent fabric required. I was able to get both pockets out of a fat quarter I had in my stash. The main fabric is a dark charcoal grey suiting I found as a remnant at Joann’s. I thought the splash of colour for the pockets was perfect for Sophie’s current pink obsession.
I am really looking forward to tomorrow when I am sewing up my first Bimaa Cowl. I picked out a tonal green stripe sweater knit with a grey heavy weight jersey for the cowl. Thursday I will take the same fabric and make a matching Recess Raglan for Benny.
I managed to get some pictures of the kiddos in their robes this afternoon. They were having so much fun jumping on the bed.
You are super speedy seamstress. They outfits looks great and the kids look super cute in them. What fun! Congrats.
I kind of really want your comforter… The robes are cute too. 🙂
Ha! I actually got that comforter probably 9 years ago at Ikea. It is a great basic.
I think the robes are pretty cute too 🙂
