Countdown to Gift Guide – Paper Goods

I am back for another instalment of our Countdown to the Gift Guide.  Yesterday I wrote about my new love of creating children’s clothes and how I never though I would have gone in that direction when starting the business.  Go check out yesterday’s post for a full rundown on the children’s clothes in my shop.

Today I am going to talk about the Paper Goods that I design.

I started playing around with GIMP by designing my older sister’s christmas card a few years ago and really enjoyed it.  So from there I went in the direction of birthday invitations, food and favour tags and thank you notes.  I love a good theme for a party so creating an invitation to go along with the party is so much fun.

One of my favourite things to do is talk to my nephews before designing their birthday invitations to get an idea of what they would like.  They are at an age where they want to be involved and I love putting their vision to paper.  My nephew Declan called me after seeing his invitation this year to tell me that he loved it and it was exactly what he wanted.  If that doesn’t make you one happy auntie I don’t know what does.

Sophie is now at the age where she can help with the invitations, in fact this year she picked out which ballerina would be perfect on the invitations as well as the colours.  I love having that time to spend with her as well as to do something I enjoy so much.

The skies the limit for what can be created I just love creating custom digital items.
