I couldn't resist sewing a new Meadowood to wear in the sew-along videos tomorrow. I told myself it was to practice the instructions before recording, but really I just wanted a new one in this fabric.⁣

Nervous and excited to start recording the sew-along tomorrow!

The only good thing about moving is finding clothe

The only good thing about moving is finding clothes you forgot you had while unpacking. When I found this Phinney Ridge cardigan earlier this week I legitimately couldn't remember making it.⁣
⁣
Whether I remember making it or not, I am quite pleased to have another cardigan in rotation. And because the Phinney Ridge has a lower armhole it fits over my white Meadowood perfectly. Expect to see some version of this combination a lot in the coming months. Layers just make me happy inside.⁣

I needed an invisible zipper for a project so i thought I would just pop into Fabricland. But then I walked past the linen section and saw the 50% off signage and thought, well why not have a quick look...⁣

The top two are linen/rayon blends that are ridiculously soft and both destined for Sew News patterns. One is for me and one is a sample neither of which I can tell you about, sorry!⁣
⁣
The bottom one is a linen/cotton blend and is going to be the Meadowood for the sew along! It has a very clear right and wrong side so it will make the videos easier to follow along and it is going to be so cute I just can't stand it. ⁣

I want to see your new fabrics, tag me in your pictures so we can all feel the new fabric glow.⁣

Mikayla just screams fall in her Meadowood. I adore this colour and the combination of the colour with the linen is everything I imagined with this pattern.⁣

What is so great about Meadowood is that it looks

What is so great about Meadowood is that it looks different based on the fabric you choose. When you sew it in a fabric with body like a linen or 100% cotton it really shows off the oversized look of the top. The gathers are especially more pronounced which might be my favourite part.⁣

To really balance that oversized look I try to pair these versions with skinny jeans.⁣
⁣
Just wait until tomorrow when I share the tester photos, you will get to see this pattern in all different fabrics on all different bodies.⁣
