Remix the Stitch – Day 9

Wow everyone, we are in the final days of the blog tour.  I can’t thank you enough for the continued support not just of this blog tour but of me and my company over the last year.  More on how I feel about all of you in tomorrows final blog post for the tour.

For Remix the Stitch – Day 9 I have 3 talented and lovely ladies sharing their remixes.

Kaysie of KZJO Studio has become my go to technical support, it’s not uncommon for me to send her a picture of some issue and ask her how to fix it 🙂  We have been testing for each other back and forth for the last year and I just love any chance to work with her.  She is crazy talented and I marvel at the rate she seems to be able to put out patterns.

For her remix Kaysie decided to take the Capitol Hill and not only play with fabrics but also make a few changes to the pattern to give it a new look.  Kaysie shortened the sleeves to give them more of a cap sleeve and then lowered the back curve, which I for one can’t wait to see.  To get all the details on this remix as well as her tunic length Greenwood, head over to KZJO Studio.

Stephanie of Swoodson Says is so flippin nice I just want to live next door so we can hang out all the time, I just know we would be great friends.  You know someone is a great person when you can repeatedly send them an email without actually attaching the pattern, took me possibly five tries to actually attach the correct pattern 🙂  Her blog is such a great resource filled with roundups and tutorials covering so many different topics.  I could spend hours browsing the archives.

Recently Stephanie made the Laurelhurst which works great for nursing mommas if they want a cover while nursing.  So for her remix she wanted to take the Greenwood and give it a nursing modification and I think it turned out perfectly.  I would have loved to have this remix when I was nursing.  For a full how to on this remix head over to Swoodson Says.

Rita of Conversas de Hermanas has been helping me since the testing call for Ravenna last year.  Her smily happy pictures are what immediately drew me to her and I have really enjoyed working with her on a few different pattern tests.  I love following along with her on Instagram as I get a little peek into life in Spain, a place I would love to go back to.

Rita knew immediately she needed to remix something that was going to work with the super hot weather she has been experiencing in Spain so it was only natural she would choose the Greenwood.  What I love is that she not only added a ruffle band at the bottom, something I was just seeing on a fashion blog and loving the look of, but she also did a super fun remix on the back.  But you have to head over the Rita’s blog to get all the details on the back of her top.

I’m REALLY enjoying this blog tour! I’m getting ready to sew up Ravenna, maybe (MAYBE) sleeveless as I said on IG,LOVE LOVE LOVE my sleeveless Laurelhurst (which I saw here before the hunt to see the Anthropologie clone)—- and I just eeked out a Greenwood tank today. Seeing the blog tour today I am HOT to make Rita’s riff using a mesh ruffle on the bottom. I think. I’m thinking pretty cute under a jean jacket!!! You know how it goes, we sew on the fly! 😉 Thanks for one of the best patterns on the indie market, and for your sweet smile!!!!!!
