Remix the Stitch – Day 10

I can’t believe we have arrived at the final day of the Remix the Stitch blog tour.  Hosting a two week blog tour is no joke but based on the reactions from everyone it has definitely been worth all the work that was put into it.  I have had so much fun reading these blog posts along side all of you.  I can’t even begin to grasp the huge list of sewing projects that I now need to make just based on this tour.  I think I am going to round everything up tomorrow so that there is a great reference guide with links to all of the remixes by pattern for future reference.

We have 4 ladies joining the tour today and I just can’t even.  You guys these looks are so good, I couldn’t imagine finishing out the tour any other way.

I just have to start with Hayley of Welcome to the Mouse House because she was definitely one of those dreams bloggers I talked about here!  I have some serious love for her Julia Cardigan and her fabric line with Michael Miller is so good.    Hayley definitely falls into the stalked category I have mentioned in previous post on the tour 🙂 so I was pretty darn excited when she said she would join the tour!

When I got these pictures a few days ago I squealed a little bit because this remix is everything I want out of a casual Bellevue.  I promptly went online and ordered some fabric to make myself one just like it.  The terry looks so comfy and I am all heart eyes about those leather elbow patches.  This would be the perfect layer for fall.  Gahh I just love it so much!  Get all the details over at Welcome to the Mouse House.

I was so lucky to discover Andreia from In a Manner of Sewing when testing my Greenwood pattern.  She is by no means new to testing which means I got so much experience from her addition to my testing group.  She is full of so much encouragment and knowledge I just hope I can convince her to join me for testing every time.

When Andreia said she wanted to make a jumpsuit with the Capitol Hill pattern I just about died, but when she sent me a sneak peek a few weeks ago it was so much better than I ever could have imagined.  The jumpsuit is a mix of the Capitol Hill and the Alexandria Shorts from Named Patterns, and that colour is so good!!  Because she is an overachiever Andreia also made another remix with Ravenna, but I am going to make you head to her blog to check out that look.

The lovely Nienke from Pienkle is someone I met when I first joined the Pattern Workshop course and it seems like our paths continue to cross.  She is an amazing sewist living on a dutch island and sewing her days away.  That pretty much sounds like heaven to me.

I think we can all agree that fall is definitely the perfect season for tunics and leggings and this Ravenna tunic is no exception.  Nienke decided to leave the ruffles off and add some length to the pattern so that it would be a true tunic.  I love the end result.  To get all of the details head over to Pienkle to read more.

The final person to join us for the Remix the Stitch Blog tour is Abbey of Sew Charleston.  I originally discovered Abbey through Indiesew and just loved everything about her style.  It had such a put together look while still being comfortable and modern.  She knocks out sewing projects faster than I seem to be able to pick fabric, it’s like she has some sewing super power.  And that dog of hers is just too cute, my kids and I are currently trying to convince my husband to get a dog so I am getting dog envy from Abbey.

When I first talked to Abbey about the tour she wanted to work with the Greenwood pattern, but wasn’t sure how she wanted to remix it.  Well if you follow her on Instagram you know she made one and then another and another 🙂  I loved seeing her Greenwood night gowns popping up what seemed like every day, because of the super power mentioned above.  For the official remix Abbey went with a button placket down the back and I couldn’t love it more.  The striped fabric is all kinds of perfect and coupled with the buttons give it such a polished look.  To get all the details on Abbey’s remix head over to her blog.
