Remix the Stitch – Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the Remix the Stitch Blog tour, I hope you are just as excited as I am to see what these ladies have come up with.

Let me quickly share all the nitty gritty about some things and then I will throw it over to the first two bloggers sharing their makes for Remix the Stitch – Day 1, they are insane in such a good way!

Firstly, head over to the shop where you will see that all patterns have been marked 50% off and Stitch Kits are marked 40% off.  Make sure to get your copies of all the patterns you have had your eye on, there won’t be a sale like this again until next fall.  The sale ends Sunday September 20th at midnight.

Secondly/Lastly, there is an incredible giveaway happening throughout the blog tour so make sure to enter below for your chance to win.  To get all the details on the prize pack you could be winning check out all the details here.

Okay, now that I got all that out of the way lets have a look at why you are really here today, lovely bloggers wearing lovely clothes they made!  Be prepared because there is going to be a lot of gushing through out this tour, remember these are all my dream bloggers.

It’s very fitting that the first person up on the tour is remixing my first pattern!  Meg from Cookin’ and Craftin’ is an amazing sewist who I have been watching from afar for awhile.  If you haven’t had a chance to check out all of her amazing makes you need to check her out.  I actually started following her on Indiesew when she was uploading to their Creations page, which is a really cool feature over there.  When I saw her name on the list of people applying to test my Greenwood pattern, I immediately selected her because I knew only good things could come from her.

One look at this Ravenna she made has me smiling, look at that fabric and the bold black bands that replace the ruffles and zipper.  Make sure to head to her blog to get all the details on how she created this look.

You know when you ‘meet’ someone online and think that you could totally be friends in real life and wish you lived closer to them, well that is definitely how I feel about Jennifer of Ginger Peach Studio, she is just so nice!  I have been drooling over all the amazing quilts that she posts on Instagram for awhile, like probably longer than I care to admit.  And don’t even get me started on the fact that she makes crazy delicious looking ice cream.  I think that makes her some sort of creative triple threat; blogger, sewist and ice cream maker.

I have been dying to see her post after a got a peek on instagram of her lined Laurelhurst!!  I am not sure there could be a more perfect article of clothing going into the fall than a lined Laurelhurst.  And the way that she styled it, I just have no words other than perfection!  Head over to Jennifer’s blog to see how she lined her Laurelhurst.

What an amazing way to start this tour off!  If the two amazing ladies today are any indication of what is to come on this tour I am sure my use of !!!! is only going to increase in number.
